One of our goals with theOpenBridge Design System is to make it easier to maintain consistency acrossdifferent components, elements and layouts. Making the elements of anapplication more consistent will help the overall feeling consistency acrossmultiple applications. To do this we have created some rules and buildingblocks that we can use when developing the different components and elements inthe design system. By using the same set of rules it is also easier to developyour own components that will fit into the design system.
The OpenBridge Design system organizes colors into types ofcolors reflecting the function each color has in an application. This makes iteasier to develop and change between in a more consistent way.
In the OpenBridge Design System we are working on apredefined palette set for day, dusk and night. The goal is to develop palettesthat both meets class regulations and OpenBridge requirements. The palettesalso works as examples on how to use the color system.
